Silvana was our guide today, generously sharing her wealth of knowledge about all things Rockford! Thereโ€™s always thoughtful and beautiful points of difference with Rockford. We loved our Stonewall Cellar Tasting - it was so interesting to learn about the history of this iconic winery. And their 2017 Basket Press Shiraz was sublime! #rockfordwines #foodwithaviewoz

    I had fun this week making a delicious raw lemon t I had fun this week making a delicious raw lemon tart, inspired by a recipe from Sarah Hobbs @deliciousaus ๐Ÿ’› For my palate, I always double or triple the amount of lemons as I love my lemon desserts to taste as lemony as possible! A vegan tart, the base is made with almonds, pistachios, dates and shredded coconut. The filling is a combination of coconut cream, cashews (soaked), maple syrup, lemon zest and juice, and turmeric. Candied lemon slices and fresh blueberries, with a drizzle of lemon syrup, finish off the tart beautifully ๐Ÿ‹๐Ÿซ๐Ÿ‹๐Ÿซ๐Ÿ‹ #foodwithaviewoz
    A truly special wine from @othernesswines is thei A truly special wine from @othernesswines is their 2019 Skuld Riesling, and a pleasure to grace our dining table. Micro-producer Grant Dickson collaborated with winemaker Ian Hongell to make this premium, Eden Valley wine. Think zesty and vibrant citrus notes on your palate ๐Ÿ’› Iโ€™m excited by Otherness Wines, and Grant Dicksonโ€™s award winning ability to describe wines is like no other. Heโ€™s an accomplished musician, so perhaps itโ€™s no surprise that reading his descriptive stories and tasting notes has a musical feel and rhythm. Here is Grant describing his inspiration for naming this riesling: โ€œSkuld is the youngest of the three Norns from Norse Mythology, described as female deities who decide the fates of both gods and men. The Norns appear in Wagnerโ€™s Der Ring des Nibelungen, the cycle of four operas that I have been so fortunate to play in several times through my career as a musician.     Thrilled to finally experience @vangoghaliveau ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’™ Our first tickets were cancelled due to last monthโ€™s lockdown. A rich tapestry of Van Goghโ€™s works are vividly displayed on giant screens (until 12 September). His life story and poignant quotes, woven throughout, immerse visitors into the world and mind of this famous, post-impressionist artist. I loved this thoughtfully designed, interactive and sensory exhibition. Van Goghโ€™s famous โ€˜Cafe Terrace at Night in Arlesโ€™ is brought to life as a cafe installation, a lovely finishing touch to enjoy a glass of @champagnetaittinger ๐Ÿฅ‚ * Shout-out to the beautiful and talented Kalila for my recent Camel Wool Cape purchase from @kalila_namoi designed and made in Adelaide ๐Ÿ’› I love it!
    In September last year I captured these rolling fi In September last year I captured these rolling fields of gold on my way to spend a few days in the beautiful Clare Valley for the inaugural Clare Valley Festival of the Lamb. I had a superb time and this truly special culinary festival left a lasting impression on me ๐Ÿ’› This year's Clare Valley Festival of the Lamb runs from 22nd to 26th September and I can't wait to experience some of the fabulous events that are part of the 2021 program!
